Living Streets

Living Streets are a UK charity for everyday walking. They want to create a nation where walking is the natural choice for everyday local journeys.

Living Street’s mission is to achieve a better walking environment and inspire people to walk more. For 90 years Living Streets has been a beacon for walking in the UK.  In the early days their campaigning led to the UK’s first zebra crossing and the introduction of speed limits. Today they face new challenges, but their work is as important as ever.  Superior Interiors were proud to be  tasked with the brief to create a modern, exciting and motivating work environment for the employees and volunteers in their London Head Office.

Superior Interiors created an office that represents Living Street’s traditional core values and modernity.  The environment is welcoming for the team and visitors alike by offering comfortable, soft and contemporary furniture.  The design allows the team to feel comfortable and ‘at home’, whilst also encouraging productivity and flexibility throughout the office.

To make best use of the space the finishes used were light, accompanied with accent colours to create points of interest, contrast and compliment the overall look and feel.

In essence, the space was designed to strike a perfect balance between ‘professional’ (trustworthy, embedding confidence) and ‘warm contemporary’ (homely, welcoming).
